Manchester Victoria: Looking down the long (Guinness Book of Records) platform that linked Manchester Victoria and Manchester Exchange until the latter closed in 1969. In this 1959 scene a Black 5 is approaching from the west on freight and a 2-6-4T is on the passenger train in the platform on the right.
Surbiton: 455 5701 from rear with a Hampton Court to London Waterloo service calling at Surbiton on 4th May 2013. Nearly ten years on from this image the first 455s are now being withdrawn.

Lancaster: The camber on the Through lines at Lancaster is most noticeable as 90021 and 90034 power south with a Mossend to Daventry train on 6th July 2022. The Malcolm centenary livery of the lead loco contrasts with the much plainer blue of 90034.
Chilvers Coton: Whos a pretty boy then? Clearly not 70017, which is passing the former platforms of Chilvers Coton station, to the south of Nuneaton. The back of the train is coming off Coton Arches viaduct; while the central girder of the bridge carrying the tracks over the Coventry Canal can also be seen in the distance. The train is no. 441G from Trafford Park to Southampton.
Cheshunt: View from 317 508 (with 317 343 at head) calling at Cheshunt station, Hertfordshire, looking back south, with the ex-10.12 Greater Anglia service from Liverpool Street to Hertford East on Saturday, 16th July 2022, the Last Day of the 317 units. On the right is the Southbury Loop bay platform for trains to Liverpool Street via Seven Sisters, which has been part of London Overground since 31st May 2015.
Kings Cross: It looks like not everybody is impressed that Kings Cross station is being graced by none other than 60015 'Quicksilver', the second built of Gresley's A4 streamliners. This was 16 June 1962, and it would not be long before the A4s would depart this particular scene, although some would soon be making a name for themselves on the Glasgow to Aberdeen route.
Gorton [WHR]: The Caledonian Sleeper seen going southbound through Gorton loop on a rather overcast July evening. The midges and clegs were biting.
Comrie Colliery: NCB Hunslet austerity 0-6-0ST No.5 (works No. 3837 of 1953) leaves Comrie Colliery with a loaded train, seen from the top of a signal post, in 1974.
Matlock: Is this the cheapest station to station ticket in the UK? Have I started a competition? Souvenir ticket purchased in Matlock Station on a day we couldn't travel due to a rail strike. Matlock is at the end of the East Midlands Railway service from Derby but carries on to Rowsley as Peak Rail heritage line.
Edinburgh Waverley: Recent ScotRail, CrossCountry and LNER arrivals at Waverley during the late morning of 21 July 2022. Standing at platform 10 on the left is the 1102 ex-Dunbar, alongside is the 0603 ex-Birmingham New Street, while over at platform 5 on the far right is the 0700 from London Kings Cross.
