Crawford Viaduct [Camps Reservoir Railway]: Looking north across the Clyde at Crawford in 2009 showing the bridge built by Lanarkshire County Council in the 1920s to carry the 3ft gauge Camps Reservoir Railway. The site of the former transshipment yard is directly behind the camera with the WCML beyond. For the view back from the far side of the river see image [[24923]].
Pen-y-Bont: A small display of historic views of the station adorn the rear wall of the wooden waiting shelter at Penybont on the Central Wales line, together with a batch of timetables. A plaque indicated that The Cooke Family adopted the station in February 2008.
Clapham Transport Museum: Replica of Liverpool and Manchester Railway coach, Clapham Museum around 1963.
Dunfermline Town: The main building of Dunfermline Town station, seen from departing Steam Dreams' circular railtour from Edinburgh Waverley behind 46100 'Royal Scot', after the locomotive had quenched its thirst, at 19.52 on Friday, 17th June 2022. From here, the train took the freight-only line to Alloa, closed to passengers in 1930 and which was a lot more picturesque than I had expected it to be, notwithstanding the eyesore of the derelict Longannet Power Station.
Bank Junction: The driver of 66081 surrenders the token at Bank Junction, bringing coal from the Knockshinnoch branch in 2002.
Edinburgh Waverley: An unidentified HST at Waverley on the suburban platforms in 1988 (and a blurry bridge parapet in the foreground).
Princes Street Gardens Cutting: An English Electric Type 4 heads through Princes Street Gardens with the down 'North Briton' in 1962. An eastbound Metro-Cammell DMU appears to be causing some pollution in the distance but, as there was still some steam around Edinburgh at the time, one supposes that coal smoke from the Haymarket tunnel may have been the main contributory factor.
Summerseat Viaduct: East Lancashire Railway Summer Diesel Gala 2022. Visiting Locomotive D8096 heads the 11:00 Rawtenstall to Heywood across Brooksbottom Viaduct in Summerseat on the first day of the Gala
Eastleigh: Freightliner 70015 northbound through Eastleigh, with a container service from Southampton Docks to Trafford Park, on 14th June 2022.
Church Road Junction: In the distance of this 1991 Dublin view is Church Road Junction, with permanent way and freight yards to the left. To the left of the water tank is the approach to the 1864 MGWR North Wall terminus to the left and 1877 L&NWR terminus to the right. The distant signal box and closer water tank still exist. There has been much tracklifting but on a more positive note Docklands station now stands to the extreme left.
Brock Water Troughs: I'm sure it brings in some nice rental income to Network Rail but I wish that phone mast had been sited somewhere else. 57313 takes Northern Belle empty stock from Carnforth to Norwich on 29th June 2022. This is now the view north from what is known locally as Badger Bridge, at the site of the old water troughs. 57314 was on the tail of the train.
Nantes: SNCF 4-8-2 241P13 makes an imposing sight in the shed yard at Nantes Blottereau depot in July 1969.
