Clyde Place Quay: TS Duchess of Hamilton and PS Caledonia at Bridge Wharf in May 1964. General Terminus Quay can be seen further along the river.
Carlisle Upperby Shed: Several locomotives stored at Carlisle Upperby in February 1967. Nearest the camera is Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0 46470. Three Black Fives 44932, 45196 and 45451 are also present, but I don't have a record of the Ivatt 2-6-2T numbers.
Shrewsbury Abbey: The former Shropshire & Montgomeryshire Light Railway Shrewsbury Abbey terminus, closed to passengers in 1933, looking towards where the buffers once were, on the cold and damp afternoon of Saturday, 11th December 2021. This is now a bookshop selling secondhand railway books for one pound each, three of which I purchased. Part of the Abbey itself can be seen in the left background; a main road runs between the two. (For brief details of the history of this line and station, see my photo: image no. 79431).
Fordham: The former Fordham junction station as it appeared on 27th March 1978, some 13 years after final closure to passengers. A peculiarity was that the station was once a shared intermediate calling point on two distinct lines, namely Chippenham/Snailwell Junction to Ely and Cambridge to Mildenhall. The line to Ely remained in use for through passenger and freight trains after the Mildenhall branch closed to passengers in 1962 and lives on, and although the station buildings survived for decades after the date of this photo, they eventually fell into dereliction and were engulfed by vegetation
Embleton: In addition to the old station house at Embleton, further down the route towards Bassenthwaite and Keswick this old crossing keeper's cottage also survives. The trackbed here, as on much of the line west of Braithwaite, has disappeared under the A66 road.
Orrell: A view westwards from the road bridge on Church Street, Orrell over the station on the Wigan Wallgate to Kirkby line.
Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal: The embankment from the current Daventry container terminal (by a Tesco warehouse) over the wildlife underpass bridge to the new bridge over the A5 appears to be complete. View looks North West from the A5. See image [[52516]], which overlaps this POV.
Greenock Ladyburn Shed: The 3.15pm train from Gourock, headed by a Polmadie Fairburn 2-6-4 tank, coasts past Greenock Ladyburn shed in preparation for its imminent stop at Bogston on 29 February 1964.
Edinburgh Waverley: 55015 'Tulyar' parked at the east end of Waverley in 1976.
