Cupar: Azuma 800107 passes Riggs Row (a through road until arrival of the railway) on the approach to Cupar on 4 December 2021. The service is the 07.08 from Leeds to Aberdeen.

Polmadie Shed: Britannia 70027 'Rising Star', a visitor from Carlisle Kingmoor, was the only engine in steam at Polmadie on 19th May 1967. The last of Polmadie's own allocation of steam locomotives had been withdrawn at the end of the previous month.

Bradkirk Junction: 319368 rolls along the long straight to the west of Kirkham with a Liverpool to Blackpool North service on 27th November 2021. This view taken from the steps of the relatively new footbridge that carries a public footpath across the line. (Map Ref SD389335). Network Rail contractors use the old railway land here. There is an access point to the line and the adjacent catenary mast is protected from vehicle damage.

Clapham High Street: The South London Line viaduct of 1867 immediately to the east of Clapham High Street station, which has been served by London Overground trains between Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction since 9th December 2012. Shops and cafes have been incorporated into the Victorian arches, illuminated by a few Christmas lights here on the evening of 8th December 2021. This station is a short distance from Clapham North on the LU Northern Line but there is no direct connection, a walk at street level between the two being required.

Dumfries Shed: Looking north towards Dumfries station on the other side of St Marys Street bridge in May 2002. The area on this side of the bridge, now the headquarters of Dumfries and Galloway police, was previously occupied by Dumfries locomotive shed. The shed was officially closed in May 1966, with demolition taking place in the early 1980s. The only remnant of the old shed is the base of the west wall running alongside the up line. Builth Road: 153303 passes the former L&NWR goods shed at Builth Road as it unexpectedly returned to the station on 2 June 2007. Just over half an hour earlier it was heading to Shrewsbury but now it reappeared heading south on the approach to Builth Road.
