Beddgelert: Ex-South African Railways NSGG Class 16 2-6-2+2-6-2 No.138 passing the water tank as it arrives at Beddgelert station with a Welsh Highland Railway train from Caernarfon to Porthmadog Harbour on 22nd May 2016. 138 was built by Beyer Peacock in 1958 and returned to the UK after withdrawal from service for restoration at the Ffestiniog Railway's Boston Lodge works. Originally in green livery, it was temporarily withdrawn in 2007 for full overhaul and boiler inspection and returned to service in its new crimson livery in 2010. (In common with the Ffestiniog Railway, WHR trains cross on the right at stations with passing loops.)
Bendor Level Crossing: The line from Alnwick to Cornhill was built to last. Many of the buildings do, but passenger trains were withdrawn on 22 September 1930. After flood damage closed the middle section of the line in 1948, goods services continued south from Ilderton until 1953 and north from Wooler until 1965. This is Bendor Level Crossing 'box looking towards Wooler in 1991.
Hoghton: A southbound Virgin West Coast service had been diverted from the WCML and travelled over the S&C between Carlisle and Preston on 20 April 2013. The double 5-car Voyagers are seen having just come over Hoghton summit between Blackburn and Preston.
Didcot Parkway: Freightliner 66605, one of the low-geared variants, westbound Light Engine through Didcot on 9th November 2021.
Carnforth: One of the many skills tested at simulated rail crash 'Exercise Mallard' at Steamtown in 2014 was the work of the Fire Service Urban Search and Rescue teams, seen here making an overturned bus secure before paramedics entered to remove the live 'casualties'.
Helsby: An afternoon Arriva Trains Wales service from Manchester to Llandudno with a 2-car Class 158 departs Helsby heading towards Frodsham in April 2014.
Edinburgh Waverley: View east from Edinburgh's North Bridge towards the Calton Tunnels in bright sunshine on 12 July 2018. The approaching 0927 from North Berwick is about to run into platform 9 (east). The fibreglass cow standing on the roof of the Edinburgh Council building appears totally unmoved by the proceedings.
Arbroath: Class B1 61262 heading north near Abroath with Kerr's Miniature Railway in the foreground.
Winston: Winston station site is now the base for a heavy haul road haulage company. Whilst the station building has been rebuilt, the goods shed, crossing keepers' cottages and the station house are still in use, as seen in October 2021. View is north west to the Station House that sat a short distance from the main station building that was to left of view. This house is a mirror image of the Station House still in existence at the former Gainford Station a few miles on towards Darlington. See image [[78737]]
Finsbury Park: 67018, with UK Railtours excursion from Peterborough to Worcester Shrub Hill, arriving at Finsbury Park on 12th May 2018. While some passengers opted to spend the afternoon exploring the historic city of Worcester, not an unreasonable thing to do, most alighted at Evesham and joined a fleet of coaches taking them to Toddington to spend the afternoon at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway.
