Donibristle Platform: DB 66109, in PD Ports livery, heads a Perth Muirton to Millerhill engineers train through Donibristle on 16th August 2020 with 66023 in the rear. Tree growth will soon restrict this view, I fear.

Muirhouse South Junction: Britannia 7MT 70009 'Alfred the Great' is nicely turned out, albeit shorn of its nameplates, as it passes Muirhouse South Junction on the 9.56am Glasgow Central to London Euston relief on 19th April 1965.

Minehead: A Foster Yeoman vintage wagon from the dim and distant past, seen at Minehead in September 2020, makes an interesting comparison to the 100 tonners in use with Foster Yeoman today.

Morecambe South Junction: Pacers were used on Lancaster to Morecambe services from their introduction until the majority were withdrawn from Northern service. In its last year of operation, 142027 approaches the junction for the branch with a service from Lancaster. Following withdrawal this unit went to the Chasewater Railway but (in 2020) is reported to be a source of spares for their other two sets rather than preserved in its own right.

Kildwick and Crosshills [2nd]: Looking over the gate on station road to the footpath that led down to the up platform of the second Kildwick and Crosshills station on 26 September 2020. The station closed in 1965 and although the platforms and buildings have all been demolished, the remnants of the fence on either side of the path remain.

Leachbhuidh No 79 Tunnel: K1 No.62005 hauls 'The Jacobite' round the curve at the eastern end of Loch Eilt on 19th September 2020. Nearby is the Essan Bothy and on the right are the remains of sheepfolds. The horseshoe shape of the land just in front of the bridge is where the Allt Easain and the Allt na Diollaid burns meet. They used to flow into Loch Eilt separately but when the railway was built their courses were altered so that only one bridge would be needed.
