Postland: Alongside the junction of Dog Drove North and the B1166 Hulls Drove Road, at Holbeach Drove a few miles west of Gedney Hill, there is a well maintained grounded five compartment wooden coach body. It is lettered on the B1166 facing side as being former Great Eastern Railway coach 236 consisting of 1st & 3rd Class smoking and non smoking compartments separated by a central luggage area. (Postland station was 1.8 miles to the west and French Drove and Gedney Hill station 2 miles to the south.)
Polmont: A Glasgow to Edinburgh stopping service pulls into a quiet Polmont on 16th July 2020. Polmont is famous for its Young Offenders Institution and - well, that's it really. As you approach the station by road you are welcomed to Brightons. Does that mean Polmont station isn't in Polmont?
The Crescent [Tram]: Now withdrawn Midland Metro tram No.10 to Wolverhampton St. George's at The Crescent, on 18th March 2014. This is on the alignment of the former heavy rail GWR route but there was never a station here prior to the closure of the line in 1972. This stop was newly provided for Midland Metro trams when the first stage opened in 1999.
Millerhill: 08575 shunting at the site of Millerhill Station in 1975.
Tondu North Junction: Tondu North Junction, with the line from Maesteg on the left, on 24th July 2020. Signals are still in place on the Ogmore Vale line, some thirty odd years since the last train ran up the valley.
Woodhead: The commemorative hand-out for those partaking in the Woodhead Wanderer DMU farewell journey over the 1500V electrified route, 10 years after passenger services ended, and shortly before almost total closure of the line between Sheffield and Hadfield took place. The tour started at Sheffield Midland, and initially headed east via Tinsley Yard to Treeton Junction, where it reversed before then running west through the abandoned Sheffield Victoria station to Manchester Piccadilly, with a one hour stop at Dinting to visit the then Dinting Railway Centre en-route. The return journey was via the Hope Valley line, after a 3 hour early afternoon break in Manchester. See [[22507]].
Didcot Parkway: A pair of DB 66s, 66068 and 66034, parked in the sidings at Didcot, along with quite a lot of temporarily out of use car carriers, on 22nd July 2020.
Slochd Viaduct: LNER Azuma forms the southbound 'Highland Chieftain' as it crosses Slochd Viaduct in some very welcome brilliant sunshine. 800104 in the lead on 6th August 2020.
Ansdell and Fairhaven: 150140 departs Ansdell and Fairhaven heading for Kirkham and Preston on 28th July 2020. The railway now only occupies a narrow strip of land but was formerly double track and the land to the left, now an ambulance station and residential properties, was once the goods yard.
Springs Branch Junction: 769448 moves around the servicing facility at Springs Branch on 29 July 2020. If you look very closely you will see that the pantograph is down so it was moving under diesel power. Hopefully they will be able to enter service with Northern very soon.
Edinburgh Waverley: On 25th July 2020 the 1500 to King's Cross in charge of an Azuma that is looking patriotic - at this end of the line anyway. It is displaying LNER tartan which is as authentic as any, I suppose. It's standing at Platform 5 which isn't behind a ticket barrier whereas neighbouring Platform 6 is. This doesn't seem to influence routing.
