About halfway down the 1:40 bank between Britannia and Shawforth is this footbridge, a notable survivor as it doesn't really lead anywhere and last saw a train over seventy years ago. It would have been a great place to watch an LYR 2-4-2T or an LMS 3P 2-6-2T climbing with three coaches for Bacup.
