Cascaded 323 EMUs have been driver training for some time on the Blackpool line but on the morning of 10th October 2024 two sets ran from Springs Branch to Carnforth and back. Although some units have worked in the North West from new they were mainly confined to South Manchester services until recently and I have never seen them north of Preston. The West Midlands gold livery matched the early autumn colours as 323210 and 212 passed Woodacre heading south.
