Solway Viaduct

Looking across the Solway from Bowness in August 2024. The south side embankment from the viaduct is in the foreground and buildings at the former Chapelcross power station are prominent on the north side. The last trains ran over the bridge in 1921 and it had been dismantled by 1935, although a few metal supports remain visible at the seaward end of this embankment.
