The rebuilding of Barnsley station as Barnsley Interchange in 2007 did not extend to the southern end of the northbound platform, despite receiving a Civic Building Award. Seen here, now inaccessible and grass-grown, from a Leeds to Nottingham service on 21st September 2023. The adjacent bus station is behind the fence.
