Monton Green
A very pleasant surprise to see this working canal boat while walking on the Bridgwater Canal towpath on 30th August 2023. 'Ariel' dates from 1935 when she was taken into service by the Midlands and Coast Canal Carriers. They went into liquidation three years later and she joined the well known fleet of Fellows, Morton & Clayton for a further three years before the remaining canal carriers were nationalised. She has undergone various rebuilds down the years but is now based on the Bridgwater Canal providing a delivery service to boat owners of their consumable items. Long may that continue!
