Monton Green
As with several other stations on the Tyldesley Loop, Monton Green was elevated on an embankment and, like those others, after the 1969 closure not only was the station demolished but the embankment and bridges were cleared away leaving no trace of the railway. Immediately north of Monton Green a trackbed footpath and cycleway runs north west through Worsley to Roe Green Junction from where the old lines can be followed to either Ellenbrook or Little Hulton. This is the view from the embankment looking south east at Monton Green towards the site of the two platform station.
