Preserved 1957 DEMU Hastings Thumper unit no. 1001, so nicknamed from the noise they made, waiting to depart from London Victoria at 08.00 with a UK Railtours charter train to Eastbourne and the new Brett Aggregates Teminal at Newhaven, after a tour of some south-east London lines first, including the Bromley North branch, on Saturday, 12th August 2023. Standing alongside is 465181 waiting to depart with a southeastern service to Orpington.
