Weymouth
Poster on display outside Weymouth station, seen here on the afternoon of Sunday, 9th July 2023. Arrival here was by the Railway Touring Company's The End of Southern Steam excursion which reversed at Yeovil Junction and Yeovil Pen Mill and was briefly diesel-hauled on this section. (An article of mine about this tour will shortly appear in a forthcoming issue of Today's Railways magazine.) Participating passengers were given a 2 hours leg stretch break in this Dorset seaside town, enough time to find a pub and have some fish, chips and peas, which always taste better at the seaside, washed down by a pint of Doombar!
