Brunico
The evening sun catching the mountain tops of the Italian South Tyrol, seen from the fine station at Brunico. The railway is the Val Pusteria line that runs east from Fortezza along the northern end of the Dolomites to the Austrian frontier station at San Candido. The line continues from there to Lienz. The photograph dates from 1973, well before the electrification of the line in the mid nineteen eighties.
