Brunico
A photograph of FS Class 741 2-8-0 number 741 388 at Brunico, in the South Tyrol, on a lovely autumn morning in 1973. The locomotive, fitted with a Franco-Crosti boiler, is at the head of a service from Fortezza to San Candido. Most passenger services on the line were by then DMU operated, but a handful remained steam hauled until the mid nineteen seventies.
