Newcastle Central
Class 45 No.83 working 1V93 0940 Edinburgh to Plymouth service seen at Newcastle Central on 28th August 1983. In later years, when the HST were introduced to the East Coast, this service was often Deltic hauled but not in 1972. Down in Devon this was always a interesting train. How late would it be? As it was long distance it could have its moments. In reverse it was 1S27, 0730 or thereabouts from Plymouth to Edinburgh.
