Gorgie Cattle Market [NB]
This was the closed Gorgie Cattle Market in 2004. The sign reads 'John Swan & Sons Ltd'. Behind the camera was the North British cattle and minerals yard, which was connected to the market by a large subway under Chesser Avenue. In the tree line in the distance was the Caledonian's equivalent yard. By 2004 the NB site had been built over and CR site was overgrown. Today the building on the left is gone as are the cobbles.
