NRM Shildon
The new exhibition hall at Locomotion Shildon being constructed on 18th April 2023. Work only started the previous Tuesday (11/4/23) and it is going up at a rapid rate. The prefabricated components resemble a giant Meccano set! This picture was taken from the footpath on Spout Lane near the bridge over the Darlington to Bishop
Auckland line near Locomotion. The new building is diagonally opposite the existing museum building on a former industrial site. The road leading into the museum site is to the right and the car park and main building are behind the crane.
