Bank Hall Colliery

Bank Hall Colliery was one of the largest and deepest in the Burnley coal field, but it closed in 1971. It was connected to the main line at Burnley Central by a branch just over half a mile long. That branch is now a public path with four overbridges, one of which is seen here on 22nd December 2022.
