Scottish Maritime Museum
The interior of the great hall at the Maritime Museum in Irvine on 6th August 2013. The building is the former engine works of Stephen's Linthouse Shipyard. This was moved to Irvine and rebuilt there to provide an exhibition hall. The Laird Forge works was located there before, rail served from the Irvine Harbour branch, but closed in the early 1980s creating an ideal site for a museum.
