Glengarry Lead Smelter

Nothing grows here. This area of desolation is just east of Tyndrum. There was a crushing mill for the Clifton lead mines here, with a tramway running west to the mines. There are the remains of some timber structures and a chimney(?). When the Tyndrum extension of the C&O opened it crossed the former tramway alignment. The C&O is out of view off to the left and WHR up above out of shot to the right. The view is to the west. The path of the West Highland Way can be seen in bottom left.
