Leyland
Less than a minute before the PA had announced that the next train at platform 4 would be the Northern service to Manchester Airport, a Swift Express Freight Class 321 EMU conversion appeared from under the road bridge with the driver sounding his horn to warn passengers who had strayed too close to the platform edge. The converted unit is 321334 and carries reference to Eversholt (the leasing company) and Wabtec who carried out the conversion. The unit had travelled north to Mossend the day before from Tilbury and Euston and this was the southbound run to Doncaster via Wembley.
