View from Auchendinny tunnel, looking south west towards Penicuik, on an exceptionally bright and sunny 10 April 2022. Branch trains leaving the tunnel crossed the North Esk here to reach the single platform of Auchendinny station, which stands on the left immediately beyond the bridge. Nowadays, even early on a Sunday morning, this popular walkway can be quite busy with walkers, joggers, cyclists etc.
