Auchendinny Tunnel
The east portal of Auchendinny Tunnel on the Penicuik branch, seen here on 17 March 2022, now part of a walkway. Near the far end of the tunnel are the remains of Auchendinny station. The area behind the camera was once occupied by one of several paper mills located along the North Esk - today the site is occupied by a modern housing development.
