Bowling Junction
Class 08 0-6-0 diesel shunter 08226 is seen hauling a consist of structural steel and 16T open wagons as it approaches the junction to turn onto the Bradford avoiding line from the Halifax direction en route from Healey Mills Yard to Laisterdyke Yard. The steel would be for Barratt Steel stockholders who were located on the then remaining short stub of the former line from Laisterdyke Yard to Ardsley via Drighlington and Morley. The March 1981 working would have possibly travelled over the Spen Valley line via Heckmondwike and Low Moor.
