Ansdell and Fairhaven
156401, the first of 114 sets of this fine DMU class, is now in its 35th year and has recently transferred from East Midlands Railway to Northern to replace withdrawn Class 153s. On 7th February 2022 it was on the East Lancashire, Ormskirk and Blackpool South lines diagram and is seen leaving Ansdell and Fairhaven for Preston. The bright blue, orange and red EMR livery will probably soon be replaced by Northern vinyls.
