Bay Horse
Class 56s are rare birds around Lancaster these days so it was worth venturing out to Forton cutting on a damp November afternoon for 56113, working spent ballast from Carlisle New Yard to Pinnox Branch Esso Sidings, which I later found out is near Stoke on Trent. A northbound train a few minutes later made the effort doubly worthwhile 78977. I initially thought this Colas train was a 'one off' but it has been running each weekday in November.
