Southport
One of the design features of the Class 777s, which will be introduced on Merseyside, is the step and gap free access. Unfortunately the doors were closed here but the step can be seen in the extended position below the doors being level with the platform and filling the gap. The shape of the bodyside is also designed to help prevent someone falling between the train and platform edge.
