Tynemouth is a pleasant resort just a few miles away from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The station was built in 1882, and rebuilt in 2011. There is a nice restaurant and craft ale bar on the forecourt; but alas, my wife summoned me to a beach barbecue, where I ate chicken with sand. Notice the imminent alien landing in the foreground.
