White Bear

The surviving station building at White Bear, Adlington, looking towards Chorley in April 2021. A factory building occupies the trackbed and this is the only remaining feature of the station, which closed to passengers in 1960. The Lancashire Union Railway connected Wigan with Blackburn in two separate sections, linked by running over the Bolton to Preston line between Adlington and Chorley.
