White Bear

White Bear, in Adlington (Lancashire), was on the line from Chorley to Wigan and closed in 1960 although traffic passed through for a further ten years. Everything has been swept away, apart from this old building on what would have been the Chorley platform. This has seen service as a cafe for the adjacent canal marina but is presently unused although in very good condition. Modern industrial buildings occupy the rest of the station site. This view towards Boars Head and Wigan in April 2021.
