Edinburgh Waverley
Prior to the creation of the new platforms 6 and 7 at Waverley in early 2019, the shortened versions had been used for many years to stable locomotives involved in the various sleeper activities centered around the station, as seen here looking back towards the concourse in 2007. Previously the short platforms had been equipped with ramps and used to load cars during the Motorail era (see image 11811).
