A3 Pacific 60052 'Prince Palatine' is seen after arrival at Newcastle Central from Edinburgh with the 'A3 Farewell' railtour of 5th June 1965. By that date there were only two A3s left in BR service, hence the organisation of the tour by the Scottish Locomotive Preservation Fund.
