Pendlebury

A Sprinter from Kirkby emerges from Pendlebury Tunnel to run through the site of the old Pendlebury station in July 2021. There was actually another tunnel here, almost directly under the station, taking a line from Molyneux Junction (near Clifton Junction) to Patricroft. This closed after it partially collapsed in 1953, causing five fatalities in houses above that fell into it.
