Seafield Level Crossing

Death of a footbridge. View west along Seafield Road towards Leith on 5 August 2014, with the footbridge at Seafield Level Crossing now fenced off after being declared an unsafe structure. I had used the old bridge as a useful photographic vantage point on many occasions over the years, although I recall only once seeing anyone else use it; that occasion being in the summer of 2006 during the importing of coal supplies for Cockenzie power station through Leith Docks (see image 57530).
