Seafield Level Crossing

Looking north across Seafield Road towards the level crossing on 5 August 2014, with Marine Esplanade on the far side. Leith South yard lies beyond the trees with access to Leith Docks at its western end. The crossing appears to have seen little rail traffic since the end of the coal imports for Cockenzie power station, which was decommissioned last year. Track is overgrown, the crossing gates are adorned with local ads and the footbridge is now fenced off as a dangerous structure. See image 5646
