Euxton Junction
On an afternoon which was not only dark but also very wet, an unusual visitor to these parts, a TPE Class 802, is seen having just passed Euxton Jct heading to Bolton via Chorley. The unit was 802201, it had travelled to Carlisle in the morning from Edge Hill Depot and although running as ECS stops were made at Wigan NW, Preston, Lancaster, Oxenholme and Penrith. It is thought that both runs were for testing rather than training purposes as they were operated by Freightliner rather than TPE. A further run took place on Wednesday but one scheduled for Thursday was cancelled.
