Cardross

The signalbox at Cardross on 28 April 1971, around 36 hours after it had been maliciously set on fire. The relay room to the left survived and remains in place today although with a new roof. The signalbox was demolished and signalling facilities were set up in the Ladies Waiting Room on the Up platform. This remained in place until the Yoker area resignalling in 1984.
