Todd Lane Junction

After closure in 1972 the old line at Todd Lane Junction has been largely handed over as public space and there is little evidence of the former railway. This view looks east in December 2020 with the station site behind the camera. The direct line to Bamber Bridge ran through the wooded area to the left of the rising footpath. Beyond the pond, a post-closure feature, the chord to Lostock Hall and the Ormskirk and Liverpool route curved away.
