Todd Lane Junction

A view along the trackbed of the former line from Lostock Hall Junction (behind the camera) towards Todd Lane Junction. Amongst the trees to the left there remains a substantial telegraph pole complete with cross arms, insulators and two sets of stay wires. At the base of the pole there are two sets of concrete posts which would have supported junction boxes. Other railway artefacts still exist in the undergrowth in this area some 50 years after the closure of the line.
