Bamber Bridge

156460 crosses the Old Tramroad bridge as it leaves Bamber Bridge, on a Colne to Preston stopper, on 29th December 2020. This is now a public thoroughfare. The Lancaster Canal Tramroad from Preston to Walton Summit was opened in 1803, and had to be bridged when the Preston and Blackburn Railway was opened in 1846. The tramroad closed between Bamber Bridge and Preston around 1854 but the bridge continues in use to this day, albeit with the deck replaced at some point.
