Sheriffhall City Bypass Overbridge

The works site at Sheriffhall is deserted on a Sunday morning ten days before Christmas 2013. The 'concrete box' through which trains on the Borders Railway will pass stands in the breached section of the Edinburgh City Bypass, with road traffic using the temporary deviation just beyond. Road traffic was restored to the original route by the following June (see 47634), with the first trains appearing a year later on driver training trips between Newcraighall and Tweedbank (see 51652).
