Hampton Loade
GWR class 1500 0-6-0PT no. 1501 arriving at Hampton Loade station with a Severn Valley Railway service from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster Town, on 6th September 2014. Although these locomotives were officially classed as GWR, that company had ceased to exist by the time they came off the production line at Swindon Works in 1949. 1501 was withdrawn from service in 1961 and sold to the National Coal Board for use at Coventry Colliery until 1969 and then purchased by the SVR for the start of heritage operations between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade in 1970. It ran for many years before a full restoration became necessary, returning to steam in 2006.
