Butterley

The former Whitwell station, from the Nottingham to Worksop line that closed in 1964, now at the Midland Railway Centre and seen here on 4th May 2019. It was moved to Butterley in 1981, as an identical replacement for the original Butterley for Ripley and Swanwick station that had closed in 1947 and was demolished. (A new station at Whitwell opened in 1998 with the resumption of passenger services between Mansfield Woodhouse and Worksop, passenger services between Nottingham and Mansfield Woodhouse having been reinstated in 1995.)
