Pinkhill

Past ages may have taken a more cavalier attitude to health and safety, but railways seem to have been liberally supplied with refuges, like this one on the former Corstorphine branch, which can scarcely have been needed. In the background is Carrick Knowe ('rocky hillock') municipal golf course; golfists seem to have abandoned their caddies full of golf bats in mid chukka.
