Purton
Flying Scotsman passed through Swindon and headed up the Gloucester line with a Railway Touring Company Train for Worcester on the 15th. This view is of it running through the site of the defunct Purton Station. The train had been heavily promoted in the local paper and, in consequence, every fraction of spare land around Swindon was filled with the admiring public.
