Earby

There are four bridges extant over or under the former Colne to Skipton railway trackbed over the short distance from the east end of Earby to Kelbrook. Some 100m south of Salterforth Road, there is a rather concealed entrance that is marked 'For Farm Only' and is of an extremely low headroom. A new entrance to the properties on the farm site has been created from a recent development off Salterforth Road. One obstacle to re-opening is the need to relocate what appears to be a large diameter gas or water main that now runs along the solum between Earby and Sough.
