Hoole
Fifty five years after the 1964 closure of the Preston to Southport line the level crossing gates at Hoole station are still a visible reminder of the old line. This view looks towards Hesketh Bank and Southport in February 2019. The little signal box stood immediately to the right of the gates with the two short platforms beyond.
